Course Overview

Do you believe in the value of sharing personal stories as a way of expressing ourselves, connecting with others, and offering new insights into human experience? Would you like the opportunity to extend your writing and design skills into the realm of new media formats and publishing platforms? If so, consider signing up for this A&S and TAM elective.

OFFERED: One campus section every semester.

DELIVERY FORMAT: Campus Based.

MEETING SCHEDULE: From 3:30-4:45 on campus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

DEFINITIONS:

Storytelling: the practice of sharing glimpses of our lives and experiences through brief stories about the moments that have shaped who we are, with the purpose of making an emotional connection with our audience.

New Media: using free and easy-to-use new media tools to compose stories with words, images, sounds, and visuals and to share them with others.
